Working in the field of climate change, many individuals experience a range of emotions - from fear and grief to hope and determination.
This interactive, online workshop offers a safe space for participants to explore and articulate these complex emotions, building shared language and skills that support mutual understanding. We focus on the importance of connecting with others at this critical time for action, exploring the links between emotional expression, group connection and resilience.
This session will be facilitated by:
-
Christie Wilson, Climate Mental Health Manager, Psychology for a Safe Climate
-
Dr Beth Hill*, Programs Manager, Psychology for a Safe Climate*
This session is open to all B Corps and will be held online on Zoom. This workshop is aligned with our regional gathering, Assembly, and will also feature as a session there. About the facilitators
Psychology for a Safe Climate is a mental health promotion charity strengthening communities’ emotional foundations amid climate and nature crises. Guided by values of community, compassion, inner transformation, eco-connection and integrity, we foster emotional resilience to facilitate effective action. We recognise that climate action and the protection of the environment is inherently emotional work that must be sustained by compassion, community, and deep connection to the living world we’re fighting to protect. By treating emotions as strategic resources rather than peripheral concerns, we unlock new possibilities for both psychosocial resilience and collective efficacy.
