Hi fellow B Corp’s!
At Underground Communications we are excited to be working on our latest project with Lendlease, Darling Quarter’s Christmas Markets. We have secured an exciting opportunity for a pop-up B Corp stall, which will bring together products from our B Corp community in one place to showcase the cause to the wider community There is no fee to participate and you do not have to be located in Sydney to join. Our aim is to get a wide variety of B Corp products and coordinate with those who are participating to create a schedule so only one or two people have to manage the stall on a certain day. We are also looking into how to manage the payments for each B Corp who participates and will provide further details shortly.
As the theme is all about community and giving back, we would also like to suggest that a small percentage of sales could be provided to Two Good Co, Lendlease’s charity partner.
The markets theme for 2020 is ‘Purchase Presents with Purpose from our Crackin’ Community Christmas Markets’, the dates for the markets are:
- Fri 11/Sat 12/Sun 13 December, and
- Fri 18/Sat 19/Sun 20 December.
The market times are as follows:
- Friday is 4-8pm
- Sat & Sun is 11am-6pm
These times have been identified to coincide with other Christmas events happening around Darling Quarter and Darling Harbour, including live music, kids events, Christmas workshops and Santa’s breakfast.
The market pods, which are cleverly converted shipping containers, are 3m wide, 2.4m high and 2.4m deep, and are fully powered. I have attached a couple of images to show you better what they look like. Please note all market holders will need to provide a Certificate of Currency, $20M PLI and Workers Comp Insurance (or a reason why you do not have Workers comp).
