Say hello šŸ‘‹ Introduction thread

Hi everyone!

This is Ainhoa from Sample Coffee, a coffee roasting company and few cafes in Sydney. All our team including myself is based in Sydney.

I come from Spain and originally studied and practised architecture, but a couple of years ago I joined my partnersā€™ company to slowly lead the communications and impact side of thingsā€¦ B Corp certification was one of those, and itā€™s been a really cool journey! Iā€™m just super interested in the power of small things to create change, such as being a better business and conscious consumer.

I already know a few of you, but Iā€™m looking forward to meeting all the community (hopefully on in-person events soon!). If anyone wants to reach me, this is my contact: ainhoa@samplecoffee.com.au

I believe B Corp is a prequalifier for awesomeness. So I am honoured to be amongst such a collective of awesome people.

My name is Luke Faccini. I run a branding agency called The Sponge, where we specialize in helping second generation businesses rebrand with purpose. I was born and raised in Sydney, and now live in Brisbane.

Having had a purpose moment that transformed my outlook on business, The Sponge became B Corp certified in Jan 2017. I believe all businesses can and should be a force for good.

I have the honour and privilege of chairing GoodNorth, like AthanasiaP described so well that I will quote, ā€œa BLocal kinda network that encourages all Impact-led peeps to connect.ā€

I look forward to getting to know you all better. And perhaps see many of you at some of the events this month.

Hi guys,

Iā€™m Natalie. Iā€™m the co founder + co director of Compass Studio. Weā€™re a certified B Corp PR & marketing agency with a mission to spread the word of world-bettering brands.

Weā€™ve just launched our first ever eBook, ā€˜The Business of Good Business ā€“ how to market for impact & connect with consciously minded brandsā€™ which explores the how-to behind marketing for lasting impact. It available to download here for free, and Iā€™d love to hear your thoughts, feedback and further discussion points on it.

This conversation around what it really means to be a ā€˜Good Businessā€™ is going to be ā€“ and should be ā€“ a constant work in progress, so Iā€™m keen to continue the conversation with you all!

I canā€™t believe Iā€™ve only just discovered this community ā€” and by accident as well.

I own Tank, a strategy and innovation consultancy here in Melbourne. We certified as a B Corp in 2016 (I think) and are advocates for the movement. We work with leadership teams across Australia on values-led strategy development (marketing, brand, org), embedding values into culture and helping new ideas go to market.

I also co-host a podcast for purpose-driven leaders called Fearless Conversations, and recently started an online learning academy (MVP!) for purpose-driven leaders called MarchFirst which brings together courses, coaching and all manner of other things.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi everyone, lovely to see this great community grow and thrive in spite of COVID challenges and keen to share and build on the momentum of our inspiring B Corp month! One Stone Advisors are a sustainability leadership and strategy advisory team helping organisations across public and private sectors raise the bar on purpose, impact and performance. Day to day that means we help clients work out how they can make the biggest difference on the UN global goals, set good standards and targets, embed them across operations and key functions like procurement, then tell their story. Excited to learn more about the amazing range of skills, abilities and ventures across our community!

hi everyone,

Iā€™m Rosanna Iacono, co-founder of The Growth Activists - weā€™re a consultancy that specialises in purpose-led transformation and growth, as well as stakeholder communications. We are in the process of certifying to become a B Corp - with just a few more obstacles to overcome. Weā€™re tri-sector operators, working across for-profit, not-for-profit and government clients.

I had my Purpose epiphany about 8 years ago, when I was Global Chief Brand Officer at Jurlique and was also asked by the board to Chair the CSR Council - a deep-dive into CSR led to my discovery of John Mackeyā€™s Conscious Capitalism and the rest was history.

Iā€™ve worked in private equity here in Australia, and also internationally with global multinationals Nike and Leviā€™s. I also sit on not-for-profit boards - I spent 5 years on the board of Dress for Success and I am currently the Deputy Chair of Stretch-A-Family, a foster agency.

Iā€™m excited to join this forum and look forward to getting to know you all!!
