Black Friday // Blak Friday // Green Friday // Black Fri-dye

Hey B Corps!

First time poster and aspiring B Corp

Last year, I teamed up with the B Lab AANZ to write about flexing the power of your purchase decisions for good. Now fresh off SXSW Sydney 2024 and the thing that shall not be mentioned this week, it’s got me thinking—how can we as purpose-driven brands show up differently right now, particularly around big moments?

We’re also fast approaching Black Friday and I know it’s a conflicting time for so many purpose-led brands. From Blak Friday to Green Friday to skipping the frenzy entirely, I’m curious: how are you reimagining this season?

Big love (especially this week),

Carmen :sparkling_heart:

PS: if you’re running a campaign that needs a little colour or conscious messaging—I’d love to help.

Hey Carmen - great to see you online.

Greatest Good is doing something a little different this year, we will be celebrating Buy Nothing Day (which is on Black Friday), with a limited free offer for any Australian social enterprises, B Corps, charities and not-for-profits (collectively for-purpose organisations) who choose to buy nothing, so stay tuned…

In the meantime, check out the Greatest Good Australian Christmas Gift Guide, which allows you to Shop Good, Gift Good, Do Good and Feel Good this festive season…or you can Shop the entire site, as every gift box, hamper, gift pack and other products and donations support an Australian for-purpose organisation, including products from B Corp, Checklist Legal!
