Opportunity: Community Solar Purchase Power Agreement

Hey Everyone,

Just passing on an opportunity which aligns with the Carbon Neutrality by 2030 goals and creates social impact! I love this kind of thing :raised_hands:t5: moving away from CSR to impact and purpose is always so delicious.

Anyway please find the details below:

Pingala along with its project partners Community Power Agency and Komo Energy are creating Australia’s First Large Scale Solar Garden for those currently locked out of owning solar (eg renters and apartment dwellers).

We are seeking a leading business (or businesses) as an offtaker for the project.

The annual generation about 2.7GWh, the impact to the domestic solar ownership market is huge, as it will pave the way for the over 30% of Australians that haven’t been able to participate in the domestic solar boom to date. (This model is common in Germany and the USA but hasn’t taken hold in Australia yet.)

Pingala have land secured, DA approved and are set to have grid connection in January with construction starting by March/April. They have established a coop and have over 290 membership applications and a retailer (Enova) but the final piece of the puzzle is an offtaker for the solar generation.

Attached is the community fact sheet and EOI for the PPA with a link here to the project website: https://haystacks.solargarden.org.au/
