Events & Partnerships Manager

An exciting 7-month maternity leave position exists for an experienced PR or Partnerships Coordinator/Manager in our close-knit team (June – December 2021). Primarily working from our offices in Huntingdale, Melbourne, you will be working with the marketing manager on the execution of partnerships and events, as well as other ad hoc marketing tasks across 2 leading consumer brands in the health and wellness sector, one being a B-Corp. Your work will have significance and visibility in the market.

25 hours per week, negotiable, including some time out of office hours.

   Duties include:

    Working closely with Brand Ambassador/s to ensure contract requirements are met
    Research and coordinate PR and media opportunities
    Maintain relationships and explore and execute collaboration opportunities with strategic partners
    Plan consumer events (eg. festival activations, market activations, film screenings) from end-to-end
    Plan, execute and report on consumer events, sponsorships, sampling and trade shows
    Identify and respond to potential events sponsorships and partnerships
    Maintain and manage events calendar and budget 
    Identify, respond to and organise sampling and donation opportunities
    Write creative briefs for campaign artwork, packaging and event assets as directed by Marketing Manager 
    Research and liaise with suppliers for props and equipment required for events 
    Assist with management reports 
    Write content for and update blog 
    Write ad hoc copy as directed by Marketing Manager
    Research and apply for any applicable grants and awards
 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
 
The ideal candidate will have:

    Marketing, PR or communication degree 
    5 years experience in a marketing/PR role
    Excellent organisational and administrative skills a must
    Strong attention to detail
    Enthusiasm and understanding of events and activations
    Enthusiasm for building and maintaining relationships 
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Research and analytical skills
    High level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite
    Experience using Shopify or similar
    Interest in the health and wellness industry
